It all began with an idea - the Summer of 2021 saw our book proposal accepted. Our mission was to bring together distinguished scholars from around the world and collaborate like an orchestra. Today, we are proud to launch our book, recently published by Routledge. During this lecture, we will explore themes from the book that examine the dual nature of digital currencies. Taking a critical approach, we will debate whether these innovations represent a revolutionary leap forward for global finance or an involution that complicates legal, economic, and societal frameworks. This session will explore the transformative potential of digital currencies, their impact on traditional monetary systems, and their legal challenges.
